Philip Embiricos provides development guidance to Greenwood’s project pipeline across Latin and Central America.
With extensive experience in the tanker industry, his involvement in shipping industry regulatory matters spans more than 25 years. He sits on multiple boards and committees including the Panama Canal Advisory Board, the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO) Executive Committee and Board of Directors, Lloyd’s Register Technical Committee, the Euromed Marseille Ecole de Management School Steering Committee, and the Maritime Industry Foundation.
Throughout his career, Philip Embiricos has focused on improving the environmental footprint of global shipping, has written several books, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Durham as well as a Master’s degree in Shipping Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Menelao Mora de la Lastra manages government relations for GREENWOOD ENERGY across Central America and the Caribbean.
Before joining Greenwood he worked for over ten years with Mitsubishi Motors Company, where he was responsible for business management throughout Central America and the Caribbean. Prior to Mitsubishi, he was a representative in the region for both BMW and Daihatsu.
Menealo has a J.D. from La Universidad de La Habana.
Juan David Oliveros
As Director of Engineering, Juan Oliveros is responsible for the technical aspects of the portfolio of projects under development and operating projects. He has over ten years’ experience in project management, electrical designs, technical due diligences, financial models and PPA, EPC and O&M contracts.
Before joining Greenwood, Juan was Lender’s Advisor and contributed to owners and financial institutions for development more of 200 renewable energy projects with more than 1,800 MW including solar photovoltaic plants, wind farms, concentrating solar power, and mini-hydropower which were installed in more than 15 countries.
Juan holds a Project Management degree and a MSc in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Rina is responsible for the administration, supporting the GREENWOOD ENERGY team in the planning, organization, direction and control as well as assisting the general manager with the general management of the Renewable Energy division. With more than 10 years of experience in the Legal and Administrative area in one of the leading law firms in the country. Before joining GREENWOOD ENERGY, I hold the position of Accounting Assistant in a Satellite Communication company. Rina studied at the University of Panama in the Faculty of Business Administration.
Egda Nubia Saldaña
Egda Nubia has overall responsibility for the financial analysis, accounting and reporting functions within GREENWOOD ENERGY. With more than 10 years of experience in the area of Construction Cost Accounting in one of the main construction companies in the country. Before joining GREENWOOD ENERGY, I hold the position of Administrative and Financial Manager in a transnational medical products company. Egda Nubia is CPA graduated from the National University with a Master in Business Administration with Emphasis in Senior Management.
Luis is from the commercial area and has the responsibility in preparing energy savings reports to the different clients through financing plans. He is also responsible for running the economic models to guarantee the feasibility of the company in the Renewable Energy division GREENWOOD ENERGY. He has 10 years of experience in the commercial and financial area in the different branches of labor, and with 1 year in the solar photovoltaic sector. Luis is a graduate in Business Administration from the Universidad Mexicana (UNIMEX).
As Associate Engineer, Christian Encalada is responsible for supporting the engineering department in the technical aspects of the portfolio of projects under development and operating projects.
Christian brings her experience in construction of infraestructure projects. She hold an civil engineer degree from Universidad Tecnologica de Panama.
As Associate Engineer, Edimar Rivera is responsible for supporting the engineering department in the technical aspects of the portfolio of projects under development and operating projects.
Edimar brings her experience in On Grid and Off Grid renewable projects. She hold an electrical engineer degree from Universidad del Zulia.
